Chile. AirLive, a supplier of wireless equipment and networks, with a vast trajectory in the video surveillance market, announces the incorporation of PC Factory to its distribution chain in Chile.
"PC Factory has added AirLive's line of PoE switches and wireless equipment, including PoE switches (POE-GSH2004L-370, POE-GSH504ATi and POE-FSH1008AT), and outdoor CPEs (AirMax2, AirMax5X-20 and AirMax4GW)," explains Ian Sothers, leader of the company's connectivity team.
"PC Factory was looking for a brand that would mainly offer us a very strong switching line from the point of view of quality / technological benefit at a cost that could fight with the usual market," he adds.
"After analyzing AirLive's portfolio of solutions we realized that the range was much wider, for that reason we decided to incorporate some products within the wireless market, which we were supplying in the local market."
PC Factory began operations in September 1996 and is a Chilean wholesaler focused on offering retail-style solutions, but today it has become a wholesaler that offers a mix between retail and value-added solutions. "For that reason we have entered this market and the idea is to grow little by little with more products," he says.
"The key piece is PoE switches, a product extremely demanded today, and of course, offering differential functions to the common that is on the market today," says Sothers.
With the passage of time, it has become the largest chain of stores specializing in technology in the country. In the beginning, the focus was on the field of desktop computers, parts and pieces, components and computer accessories. Over the years it was incorporating new categories to its offer, in order to bring technology closer to customers; both people and small and medium-sized enterprises. Its wide mix includes, in addition to the world of computing, telephony, printing, photography, audio, security, home automation, entertainment (video games, consoles) and televisions.
With more than 20 stores nationwide, PC Factory provides extensive coverage throughout Chile. With that deployment and AirLive's teams, it will increase business opportunities for its customers and integrators.
"From AirLive we are going to provide a presentation of products to the active integrators of PC Factory to familiarize them with our equipment, and that they themselves are the ones who can request the products of their interest for the future," says Adrián Bongioanni, Latin American Sales Manager of AirLive by OvisLink Corporation.
