International. Milestone Systems maintained the top position as the leading global VMS provider (in terms of company revenue) in market research conducted by financial information provider IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS). It is the ninth time that Milestone Systems has reached the top of the list.

Milestone not only retained the top global position, but also took first place in Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) and third place in the Americas. For its part, in the Asia/Pacific (APAC) market, the company rose from number 4 to number 2.
Milestone Systems markets its solutions through more than 9,000 distribution partners in more than 150 countries, working with 500 distributors. The software is compatible with more than 5,000 products from more than 130 camera manufacturers and works with ONVIF specifications, which allow hundreds more devices to work with Milestone's VMS.
IHS research, which is part of its Video Surveillance Intelligence Service*, found that demand continues to grow and that the global market for video surveillance equipment in 2016 will be worth $15.8 billion, a growth rate of 6.4% over 2015. Falling video surveillance hardware prices continue to affect the growth of the entire industry as a whole, but the volume of customer demand continues to rise.
