Latin America. Vivotek has presented a new line of surveillance solutions with H.265/HEVC coding, which includes 3 and 5 Megapixel network cameras, network video recorders (NVRs) and professional VMS (video management software).
It has also unveiled the Smart Stream II intelligent flow technology that, combined with H.265 compression, allows to reduce bandwidth and respond to storage requirements. According to Vivotek, these benefits could be increased by up to 80% more than what was offered by systems using H.264.
"Smart Stream II technology can optimize resolutions for a designated object or area and maximize bandwidth usage efficiency. By combining H.265 and Smart Stream II, we can offer the most efficient system," explains Tim Su, the company's Chief Marketing Officer.
H.265 V-Pro cameras: For this new line of solutions, Vivotek has developed the range of H.265 V-Pro network cameras integrated by different models of 3 and 5 MP. Equipped with SNV (Supreme Night Visibility) and WDR Pro technology, these systems guarantee high-quality images in any lighting condition.
Box models feature a Gigabit Ethernet port, instant photo focus functions with faster data transmission, and precise focusing capability, even for fast-moving objects.
For harsh environments, specially designed for outdoors, Vivotek has designed vandal bullet type network cameras that are built to be weatherproof with IP66 rating and IK10 rated vandal-proof cover that offer a wide temperature range ranging from -50°C to 50°C.
H.265 network video recorder: Vivotek ND9541In addition to these advanced network cameras, Vivotek has added to its catalog two new NVRs compatible with H.265: the ND9541 of 32 channels and the ND9441 of 16 channels.
Both recorders support H.265 video compression technology and up to 24 TB of storage capacity with 4 hard disk trays, which offer a recording capacity of between 30 and 50% higher than that of other similar systems equipped only with H.264 compression.
They also have a spherical distortion correction function that allows the recording of a panoramic image while the areas of interest are shown in greater detail.
Thanks to the EZConnect app, it is possible to remotely monitor the surveillance system from any Android or iOS device, anytime, anywhere.
Finally, Vivotek has released the new generation of VMS, VAST 1.11, which supports the H.265 codec.
This version also incorporates an intelligent alarm management function, which allows security personnel to record the status of the incident for subsequent analysis quickly and efficiently.
