Colombia. Bosch Sistemas de Seguridad has equipped one of the main exhibition and conference fairgrounds in Latin America, Corferias, located in Bogotá Colombia, with a new and complete comprehensive security solution.
As Corferias continues to attract a growing number of speakers and exhibitors, so does the number of visitors at each event. To help steer the flow of visitors safely and dynamically through the trade fair complex, Bosch has modernized the exhibition's video surveillance and fire detection systems. The Bosch certified integrator, International Integration Company (CI2), was responsible for the execution of this project.
The new 5000 Series modular fire panel will substantially increase fire protection at the center, home to 50 events and more than 1.5 million visitors a year. In addition to the center's original 100 analog video cameras, Bosch has added 150 IP video cameras, which constantly monitor the 50,000 square meters.
The Bosch Video Management System (BVMS) controls the cameras and works together with the Video Recording Manager (VRM) and Automatic Network Replenishment Technology (ANR) to ensure that video logs are saved locally in the event of a network outage, to be retrieved as soon as the network is back. Video images from across the center are available at all times.
Operators can use the BVMS app or the Video Security app on their mobile devices to manage the camera system from anywhere, streaming live images as well as recorded footage. Thanks to Bosch dynamic transcoding technology, the available bandwidth does not affect remote transmission.
For the first time, video surveillance, fire detection, and third-party security features can be centrally operated, and integrated into a single, coherent solution through the Bosch Building Integration System (BIS).
