International. Milestone Systems announced that the Husky M50 network video recorder (NVR) was chosen by Campus Safety magazine as the winner of the BEST award in the video surveillance hardware category. Campus Safety magazine's BEST awards program recognizes the best products and services for the protection of hospitals, schools and universities. The BEST Award nominees, judged by a panel of reputable industry leaders and the editors of Campus Safety magazine, were announced June 24 at the campus safety national forum.

"The goal of Campus Safety's BEST Awards, like all of the magazine's content, is to provide information that can help safety professionals in hospitals, schools and universities become more effective and we believe these innovative products do just that," said Robin Hattersley Gray, executive editor of Campus Safety. "We are very grateful to the judging panel for their painstaking efforts in evaluating these products.""

The following were the categories of the BEST awards: video surveillance hardware, locks & door hardware, incident management software & records, access control & identification management, emergency notifications, intrusion detection & panic alarms,  miscellaneous & security products, physical security equipment, security applications & protection, fire and personal integrity and 'Best' of the BEST.

In its August issue, PSI magazine published the results of the publication's tests of milestone's Husky M10 NVR performance, giving it a high score: 9/10Next we include the conclusion of the review:

"The Husky M10 appears to be aimed at both the small systems market and the larger facility market, where the information contained in an NVR is sometimes required, perhaps for a remote location or restricted access area."

"We are honored to receive this recognition for our versatile and functional Husky video device series, especially when such recognition comes from such esteemed media as Campus Safety magazine and PSI magazine. This shows that we are responding to market needs, which strengthens our business expansion strategy," concluded Karl Erik Traberg, Head of Corporate Communications at Milestone Systems.
