Security must start from the infrastructure

Colombia. Within the framework of the fifth edition of the DCD Converged Colombia, the most important event in the country on data centers and Cloud organized by DatacenterDynamics, the cyber security congress, Mission Critical Security Summit, will be presented, totally focused on logical security in critical infrastructures, which will take place in Bogotá  on September 23 at the Compensar Convention Center.

The Global Cybersecurity Index (IMC), published by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), places Colombia among the best in the world in the field of prevention against cybercrime, especially from a legal and institutional point of view, which resulted in the creation of instances such as the Police Cyber Center - CCP, the Joint Cyber Command - CCOC and the Computer Incident Response Group - ColCERT.

Ángel Uceda, Regional Account Manager of DCD Group for Colombia has stated: "the differential factor of the Mission Critical Security Summit event is its focus on the field of Data Centers. For 5 years we have been working with Colombian companies and institutions in the promotion of knowledge and training in the best global practices in the management of critical infrastructures. Due to its leading nature in cybersecurity issues, we decided this year that Colombia would be one of the 3 Latin American countries where the organization of the MCSS could mean an added value for the country".

In this first edition of the MCSS we will have such outstanding national and international experts as Richard Downie, Former Director of the firm The William J. Perry Center;  Carlos Zambrano Smith, Director of Technological Resources and Information Assurance at the Terpel Organization and Jorge Bejarano, Director of Standards and Architecture of the Ministry of ICT Colombia.

- Publicidad -

Among the topics are: "How to understand and respond to the cyber threat; solving the digital revolution in Colombia - strategies and measures of the ICT Ministry; "Case": made  a comprehensive model of computer security by the Terpel Organization and a panel of experts on the topic: "Cybersecurity, critical infrastructure and the future of cyberattacks: what does the meaning for companies in Colombia?".
