Mexico. The head of government of the Federal District, Miguel Ángel Mancera, announced that next Saturday a test will be made with the speakers that are located in the security cameras of Mexico City, this in preparation for the drill for the 30th anniversary of the 1985 earthquake, which will be held on September 19.
"Eight thousand poles that are going to be activated, you can imagine, if you are going to hear a considerable noise, all at the same time, then we will be making a discrimination to see if we leave 8 thousand or 6 thousand, but what interests us is that throughout the City it is heard that there is a seismic alert. We practically have the report that they are all working, but it will be a good opportunity for us to test," said the capital's president.
This is how he spoke at the end of an event for the beginning of the Reinforcement of the Campaign for the application of the Human Papillomavirus Vaccine in 11-year-old boys in a primary school in the Colonia Obrera. There he said that Mexico City is the only entity that is testing this vaccine for children in 990 elementary schools.
On another issue, he said that the coordination for surveillance and security for the national holidays is already being prepared and in terms of civil protection they will be on the lookout to avoid burning rockets.
In the evening he was present at the Fifth Installment of the Award for Best Practices in Local Government, where the National Commissioner of Security, Renato Sales Heredia, was also present.
