Axis presents in Colombia a video intercom to manage the income

Colombia. Axis Communications, a global leader in network video surveillance, announces the launch of a video intercom station for employee and visitor access control in small and medium-sized offices, gated communities and large industries.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations, AXIS A8004-VE provides clear and echo-free audio and speaker, and an integrated HDTV camera with WDR, delivering excellent image quality in low light conditions.

The video intercom allows you to control the input from a video management system (VMS) or, simply, from an IP phone,  Smartphone or tablet: just click and release the input. The presentation of AXIS A8004-VE will take place during the International Security Fair E+S+S 2015, from August 19 to 21 in Corferias, where the company will allow visitors to have their faces recognized by AXIS A8004-VE through the software of one of its partners, opening a door located on the stand. Openness will also be demonstrated using an Avaya landline IP phone and mobile device.

"AXIS A8004-VE video intercom expands the capabilities of the security system by allowing you to identify and communicate with people at the door, quickly, easily and securely to authorize their entry, as well as being as simple to install as any network camera," says Alessandra Faria, Axis Communications Regional Director for South America. who will also be at the fair.

"For us it is very important to continue innovating to reach the network video market more and more with complete solutions for the needs of our customers, and the launch of that product in Colombia reinforces our commitment to the development of the technology sector in this country," says Alessandra Faria.

The video station features power over Ethernet that allows installation with a single network cable and provides enough power to support and control the locks on most standard doors, directly from the unit.  AXIS A8004-VE is based on open standards and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Being fully compatible with ONVIF, VAPIX and SIP, the product is easy to integrate with other systems. This enables Axis and application development partners to deliver solutions that meet specific customer needs.
