Security Fair in Bogotá will present video surveillance technologies for transport, banking, retail and urban monitoring

Colombia. Axis Communications announced its participation in the International Security Fair, which will be held from August 19 to 21 in Corferias, where it will present the latest video surveillance technologies for transport, banking, retail and urban monitoring.

For this year Axis Communications will have a space dedicated to the presentation of solutions for the video surveillance market according to the needs of each vertical. Among the products that will be highlighted at the meeting is the new AXIS Q8414-LVS, a camera suitable for places near the sea or with humid environments and exposed to gases harmful to equipment. It is coated in stainless steel, resistant to water, the effects of corrosion by moisture and impacts of up to 50 joules (IK10+ standard).

In addition, the company this year will present a complete solution for video surveillance and recording on buses, equipped with memory card slots that allow you to capture and store everything that happens inside the bus for a day. Eliminating the need to use five products (four different cameras and one storage), Axis created a four-in-one processing unit capable of recording on HDTV and that can be connected to up to four discreetly installed lenses up to 12 meters away, inside and outside the vehicle.

The system, called the F-Series, aims to solve some of the mass transit sector's biggest challenges, such as ticket evasion by malicious employees, fraud in the ticketing system by users who circumvent the windlass or use third-party cards, and property damage caused by vandals. The solution allows to install cameras in different parts of the vehicle - one on the roof for an overview, one at the bottom of the vehicle to reach the internal space along its entire length, one next to the windlass for facial recognition of passengers and one on the outside side to verify, before an accident, the movement of pedestrians, bicycles and vehicles ahead.

For monitoring in special areas of industry and security in closed neighborhoods, Axis Communications will exhibit at the International Security Fair the new thermal camera, AXIS Q2901-E, which indicates the temperature of objects and allows to know, at a distance, if the visualized scene has overheated or colder areas than normal.  This equipment can help, for example, in monitoring power generation and relay environments, or identify intruders on the perimeter of a gated community and generate alarms.

At the stand located in Hall 11 of Corferias, the Swedish company will be accompanied by its partners Milestone, ISS and Genetec; as well as solutions with Radwin, Cognimatics,
