SNR-4000 Recorder Receives 2015 Product of the Year Award

Latin America. The SRN-4000 64-channel NVR from Samsung Techwin, a leading global provider of video surveillance and security products, was chosen this month as the 2015 CCTV Product of the Year by readers of the British magazine PSI (Professional Security Installer), in which integrators in the security industry vote annually to choose the product most outstanding for its innovation and quality.

Among the features that led to this equipment to be chosen as the best in its class, is the possibility of recording images in real time, in addition to a set of functions that help minimize the total cost of maintenance of a video surveillance system.

"We are glad that the SRN-4000 has received recognition by the readers of this magazine, for its great performance and flexibility," said Oswaldo Lafee, Marketing Manager for Samsung Techwin Latin America, who added that "the comments received by the users of this equipment show that it is very popular for its ease of configuration and operation. It has an integrated display with an interface that allows you to configure the equipment in just four steps, using a quick start wizard, while the cameras can register without complications in a quick adjustment process."

Among other outstanding features of the SRN-4000, is its ability to record transmitting images simultaneously, at a broadband speed of 400Mbps. It also has the potential to record and store video on 12 internal hard drives for a period of up to 108 days, with 2 Megapixel cameras or up to 43 days, with 5 Megapixel cameras. In addition, with its redundant power supplies, it ensures that recording will never stop, even if there are fluctuations in the power supply.

On the other hand, users can quickly search and review videos in the event of an incident, thanks to a combination of advanced motion detection and video analytics and metadata search. Thus, it is possible to find images according to their classification (such as "cars" or "people"), while a "heat map" facilitates the analysis of areas where the activity is concentrated.

It should be noted that, like all Samsung Techwin equipment, the SRN-4000 recorder supports cameras from other manufacturers that comply with the ONVIF standard.

These recorders are available throughout Latin America. For more information, visit www.samsungseguridad.com
