Mexico. In the framework of the Axis Solutions Conference 2015, experts in security issues agreed that video surveillance is a fundamental part of creating, improving and maintaining safer and more controlled environments.
Last Tuesday, July 14, the most important video surveillance Forum event in Latin America was held, which brought together more than those interested in physically knowing the different Axis video surveillance solutions that it presents to the market.
The opening and inauguration of the event was in charge of Francisco Ramirez, National Sales Manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of Axis Communications, along with Larry Newman, Director of North American Sales of Axis, who provided an overview of what Axis represents in Mexico as a leading global network video company. Next, John Bartolac, Business Development Manager Segments and Government Programs presented the solutions that exist in the market for each of the various needs for people or businesses themselves.
"We are here, to contribute with technology to create a safer Mexico with the support of video surveillance. That is our job, to educate and disseminate to users the trust and security they can obtain with just one camera. That is why we make these forums, so that people know all the offer and functions of the cameras, which sometimes, they do not even imagine all the benefits they provide, "said Francisco Ramirez.
Among the invited speakers were Arturo García Hernández, IT Security Manager at Banco de México; Rodrigo García de Paredes, Specialist Supervisor of Security and Specialized Systems of the Division of Protection and Emergency Response of the Panama Canal Authority; Víctor Mora, General Director VMG Consultores, talking about the part of security in Casinos.
For his part, Officer Carlos Alberto Nava Fonseca, Director of Monitoring New Technologies spoke about the importance of video surveillance by having different spectrums of vision that allows the detection of alleged crime activity and effective prevention. He also stressed that the CONACYT-SEGOB-CNS Sector Fund for Public Security allows for the first time in Mexico to develop technological research projects by the country's scientific community, in support of the police operation.
Finally, Eduardo Guerrero Durán, Chief of the Prosecutor's Office in Execution of Sentence and Fiscal Judicial Measures of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Chihuahua, during his presentation spoke about the 6 guiding axes and the unique comprehensive strategy of the national penitentiary system. 1. Elimination of self-government and depressurization of prisons; 2. Refurbishment, conditioning and improvement of infrastructure; underlined in point 3. Strengthening of technological structures; 4. Standardization of processes and procedures; 5. Human capital training and finally 6. Opportunities for social reintegration.
During the Expo visitors were able to interact with the cameras, learn about the operation for each of the sectors where they were represented, which in total were nine different markets: Transport, Retail, Banking and Finance, Education, Industry, Casinos, Citizen Security, Hospitals and Airports.
