Latin America. In order to publicize the many possibilities offered by hybrid solutions for migration to IP in video surveillance systems, Network Video Technologies (NVT) initiated a participation plan in different scenarios in Latin America educating integrators and end users on how they can take advantage of this technology to modernize their systems, with minimal economic impact.
One of these scenarios is the IP-in-Action Live forums of IP User Group in Latin America, and in the most recent of them, held last March in the city of Santiago, Chile, a region with great potential for the development of IP video surveillance, participants were able to learn about the technological proposal of NVT, which opens a possibility for migration to IP without the need to install dedicated fiber optic networks. Other markets that will receive this type of forum during 2015 will be San José (Costa Rica), Medellín (Colombia) and Querétaro (Mexico).
Precisely, hybrid solutions are part of this IP migration option, being a great alternative for the region because there are still many solutions installed with analog equipment. "Migrating to IP often presents the economic problem of changing an existing analog infrastructure. In other cases, the large transmission distances make migration difficult," explains Rafael Madrigal, NVT's International Sales Manager for Latin America, adding that "NVT solutions allow that migration immediately, simply, without interruptions in the systems and with great savings."
For this reason, the solutions that arouse the most interest among attendees of the IP User Group forums are the EoC (Ethernet over Coaxial) solutions and the TBus™ line of solutions, which facilitate migration to IP, creating hybrid CCTV systems that allow transmitting video and data on analog structured cabling, such as coaxial cable, in addition to widely extending the IP signal transmission distance and PoE (Power over Ethernet), well above industry standards.
These characteristics added to the high quality and innovation of the company's products have led NVT to be a recognized company in the market, a position where it hopes to maintain itself thanks to direct meetings with its customers. "We want to show that we offer products backed by superior support service, and we will continue to add new solutions that expand the range of possibilities for users, "he concludes."
