Allied Telesis, named Partner Lead 2015 at the Smart Cities Council

Latin America. The technology applied in Mexico by Allied Telesis, will serve to improve the old infrastructure of cities with its network infrastructure solutions with state-of-the-art technology, through its partnership with the Smart Cities Council, an organization focused on the construction of Smart Cities.

Juan Alcántara, regional director in Mexico of Allied Telesis, pointed out that we are at the beginning of a revolution with Gigabit  Smart Cities around the world.

Cities that allow people to communicate at Gigabit speeds on wireless and wired networks are well positioned to attract the best and brightest business leaders and the best investments, Alcantara said.

Likewise, the Japanese manufacturer reported that it has become a 2015 lead partner of the Smart Cities Council (SCC), the global organization specialized in the advice and development of smart cities as their populations increase .

As the population expands around the world and continues its trend towards concentration in urban areas, new challenges are emerging to improve daily life in cities. The SCC is pushing  for digital technology and smart design to be harnessed to skillfully create sustainable cities with a high quality of life and a high quality of jobs, promoting habitability, work capacity, and sustainability.

Allied Telesis has a long history of helping cities implement their visions of interconnected and intelligent operations. Using the Company's resilient switching products and sophisticated network monitoring services, cities around the world have deployed IP video cameras and made hospitals and homes smarter and more livable, Alcantara reported.

Moreover, Cities with Gigabit Intelligence deploy integrated security solutions from Allied Telesis that are able to protect and serve their communities by integrating a large number of sensors, providing a geospatial representation of their installed area, and taking a municipality's operations to a new level of efficiency and safety.
