Security Sales and Onvif sign cooperation agreement for the benefit of the industry

Latin America.  Ventas de Seguridad, a leading publication in electronic security with circulation in Latin America, and Onvif, the world's leading standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products , announce the signing of a cooperation and joint work agreement that seeks to deliver benefits to the electronic security industry of the Latin American region.

With more than 500 members and nearly 3,500 compatible products, ONVIF is the largest organization of its kind in the world. Since its inception in 2008, the organization has seen its membership grow by 25-50% each year, with the number of compatible products increasing by 250% in the last three years alone.

For its part, Security Sales  is a technical publication for professionals in the electronic security industries. It is the only magazine that reports on current developments in the design and application of CCTV systems and technologies, access control, alarms and monitoring, fire systems, GPS, computer security and comprehensive security trends in Latin America. The publication has more than twelve thousand certified subscribers in Latin America and reaches more than 25 thousand readers every week through its Infoboletín.

This auspicious agreement aims to materialize the desires of work between the two organizations to generate and publicize the different initiatives, strategies and advances in the parameterization of IP standards in companies and their electronic security products in the world and, especially, in Latin America.

Another of the fundamental objectives of the agreement is to demonstrate the importance of interoperability between IP products, regardless of the manufacturer. Situation that will allow end users, integrators, consultants and manufacturers to take advantage of the possibilities offered by IP technology, resulting in greater profitability and flexibility in solutions, as well as countless market opportunities and cooperation in product development.

Within the details of the agreement it was agreed that Security Sales  will be appointed by Onvif as an official partner of the media and that both parties will make a good faith effort to promote the relationship through their internal marketing channels.

It was also determined that Onvif will have an editorial space in the different information channels of  Security Sales , such as its printed edition, web portal and Infoboletín. The Onvif section will be exclusive to this organization and the editorial content will be coordinated between both parties in order to keep informed and generate publications of interest to industry professionals in the region.

The agreement will have an initial validity of one year, but the intention of the two entities is to endure over time and that this is the beginning of a fruitful relationship for the future.
