International. HID Global recently announced that the company was selected by A&S China, the country's leading security publication, as one of China's top ten access control brands in 2014, for the eleventh consecutive year.
The winners of the A&S awards are selected by the industry's top distributors, system integrators, installers, end users and designers. The award reinforces the company's ongoing initiatives to deliver new features that meet the region's current and future secure identification requirements.
"It is a great honor to be recognized by one of China's most influential security publications," said Eric Chiu, Director of Greater China Sales at HID Global. "The award further validates our commitment to continuously support customers with innovative solutions to achieve an ever-increasing range of applications."
HID Global won the award for its iCLASS SE solutions, which enable seamless convergence of multiple applications on a single smart card or other device. The iCLASS SE® platform solutions, which work with the company's Seos® technology, include readers, credentials with interoperable microprocessors (cards, smartphones and other mobile devices) and encryption tools. The platform simplifies the way to create, use and manage identities in physical and logical access control applications, biometrics, automatic machines that work without cash, customer loyalty programs and transport applications, among others.
In addition, Seos technology allows any smart device that uses wireless technology, such as NFC or Bluetooth, to become a reliable credential, replacing mechanical keys and access cards to open the doors of homes, hotels, offices, hospitals, universities and industrial and commercial buildings. Seos technology is also used for the issuance, delivery and revocation of digital keys that are delivered with peer-to-peer encryption.
