The International Security Fair in Colombia returns

altColombia. From this Wednesday 20 and until Friday 22 August in Corferias, more than 300 entrepreneurs will exhibit their innovations to save lives and prevent accidents and crimes, within the framework of the International Fair of Security Efficiency + Security + Safety 2014, which will bring together in Bogotá the best in the electronic security sector, industrial, physical and computer worldwide.


The event, the largest meeting point for the industry in the country, and one of the main ones in South America, will have in version number 20 novelties in the development of biometrics, rescues, fire and disaster detection, good industrial practices, tunnel control and cloud security; apart from an innovation center and the traditional commercial exhibition that year after year brings Efficiency + Security + Safety.

"With this new edition we want in the first instance to bring companies closer to integral solutions in terms of security. Second, to make technology for protection an everyday element in Colombian homes," said Patricia Acosta, president of Pafyc, the company that organizes the event together with the International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogotá, Corferias.

The fairground will have more than 12,000 square meters to exhibit the commercial offer that distributors, manufacturers and service providers, from 18 countries including Argentina, Germany, Canada, Korea, Colombia, China, Spain, United States, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Panama, Taiwan and Venezuela.

The fair will have an academic space of 60 conferences aimed at strengthening the knowledge of attendees and promoting dialogue between the different actors involved in the sector. Security in oil fields, citizen control and database protection will be some of the topics of the talks.

Similarly, some exhibiting companies will have special spaces to instruct attendees in an experiential way on how to react to an eventual emergency, whether fires, falls and floods, among others.

Acosta called on mayors and governors, entrepreneurs in the hydrocarbons, industrial sectors and citizens to approach the event and become aware of risk prevention, taking into account that "today's accidents are the risks of yesterday."
