Peru. A total of 34 cameras with HD technology, the first of their kind in Callao, will be installed in the various areas of the Bellavista district, said Mayor Iván Rivadeneyra.
The burgomaster added that the batch of equipment acquired via public tender has night vision that will allow to identify with greater precision those people who attempt against the tranquility of the inhabitants of Bellavista.
"We have acquired the latest technology in video surveillance cameras that will be added to the 21 we already have to strengthen the prevention work that we have been developing since the beginning of this management," he told the Andina agency.
The cameras, Rivadeneyra stressed, have the power to make 360-degree observations and real approaches of the lens without the need to digitally reproduce the image thanks to the optical zoom. In addition, he indicated that these equipment will be installed 100% by the end of May this year.
Rivadeneyra also indicated that in parallel to the placement of video surveillance systems, a modern Surveillance Observatory is being built, at the intersection of Faucett Avenues with Venezuela, where qualified personnel, composed of agents of the National Police, will monitor the modern cameras.
He explained that the observatory has the particularity of having an elaborate software that will allow to know in real time the location of the surveillance personnel and the patrol cars through the GPS systems of the communication radios.
"In this way it will be possible to reach the place of the incident in the shortest possible time," said the Chalaca authority, and explained that Bellavista has nine decentralized citizen security modules in the points of greatest population concentration and near important roads in the district.
