International. Milestone Systems, the open platform IP video management software (VMS) company, announces upcoming versions of its professional product line: XProtect® Essential 2013, XProtect Express 2013, XProtect®® Professional 2013 and XProtect® Enterprise 2013.
The new product features will enable Milestone distributors, integrators and end users to do more by adopting new functionality and enabling more business opportunities.
The new product line enhancements will allow customers to be more productive, reduce costs and be more responsive. XProtect Professional 2013 enables security operators to visualize the entire facility from a single interface, allowing them to react promptly to incidents and manage alarms efficiently. The alarm manager ensures that users are notified when unwanted behavior occurs.
With this release, customers have the choice between different updated UI clients – XProtect® Smart Client, XProtect® Web Client and Milestone Mobile – each in 26 languages. Users can quickly identify problem areas by accessing video from different locations, including mobile devices.
The new product offerings are designed to simplify initial XProtect® deployments and to enable users with different skill levels to easily configure a Milestone IP video solution. This helps resellers expand XProtect's offerings to deliver the benefits of IP video surveillance to a more varied range of integrators.

The new implementation process of XProtect Professional 2013 is guided by automatic configuration wizards, which make it extremely easy to install, even for integrators with few skills in information technology. The auto-detect feature automatically detects and configures new cameras that are added to an existing system. This allows users to easily expand their installation with just one click.
The improved configuration procedure eliminates problems and reduces the time required for system installation and subsequent configuration. This allows installers to spend more time on their other business activities and helps integrators, who mainly install analog systems, to feel comfortable working with the Milestone XProtect video management system, even without an IP network and without having information technology skills.
XProtect Professional 2013 allows the addition of an unlimited number of recording servers. This means that integrators can now offer an inexpensive and simple way to scale a medium-sized solution, creating more business opportunities. New versions of the product are optimized by 64-bit recording servers, which allow users to connect more cameras to the same server.
