Colombia. 16 security cameras distributed in four groups strategically, located in different sectors of the municipality, including the surroundings of the Central Cemetery of Soledad to improve the security conditions of the neighborhoods surrounding the cemetery, will be installed by the Government of the Atlantic, with which it is intended to end situations that are serious and that have been denounced by the community, such as criminal actions and sale of narcotics among other cases.
Jaime Berdugo Pérez, Secretary of the Interior of the Atlantic, highlighted the spaces for consultation and citizen participation opened by the administration of Mayor Franco Castellanos, which allows the inhabitants to propose and promote feedback issues of general interest. At the same time he told the community of the neighborhoods El Carnero, La Floresta 1 and 2 and the Centro neighborhood that with the installation of the 4 groups of security cameras monitored by the CEAD of the Metropolitan Police, it will be possible to accurately identify those who commit criminal acts in the surroundings of the populous sector.
"This support that we are providing today to the Soledeña community is not based on the acts of violence of the previous weekend, but is the fulfillment of a commitment that had been made by the Governor and as in the Central Plaza, in this sector we are going to place four sets of community security cameras in coordination with the security fronts. We will be the next few days coordinating the location that will allow us the video surveillance of the sector, "said Berdugo Pérez.
Luis Gabalo Fandiño, Secretary of Government of Soledad, said that the cemeteries are a commitment for the government of Mayor Franco Castellanos and that by his directive, the cabinet is working together to improve the environments and surroundings of the recreation areas that are there.
The head of the Government Ministry indicated that progress has been made in the fight against microtrafficking and that in that sense the capture of recognized hallucinogen dispensers by the Police has been achieved. The actions of repression of this phenomenon will be increased with the support of private surveillance companies and the accompaniment of the Military Police.
