Latin America. Emerson Network Power, a subsidiary of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and a leader in maximizing the availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, announced an agreement with Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD) to distribute Avocent's portfolio of serial and KVM products in the Latin American and Caribbean markets.
The terms of this agreement authorize Tech Data to distribute Emerson Network Power's Avocent portfolio, which includes out-of-band management, control, and access devices to include the Avocent MergePoint Unity serial hybrid and KVM, the Avocent HMX and AMX high-performance KVMs, the Avocent MergePoint Service Processor Manager appliance, and the new Avocent Universal Management GatewayTM. This allows integrated, real-time, true-time monitoring, control and access devices to support value-added partners who will be able to provide customers with a complete portfolio to solve the problems that have plagued them for years.

Thanks to the relationship with Tech Data, Emerson Network Power will expand its presence in the Latin American and Caribbean markets as a result of Tech Data's vast distribution experience. All partners in Emerson Network Power's Innovation Partnership Program in these markets will have access to the Avocent device portfolio.
