Argentina. The government of Santa Fe will open the envelopes to acquire 600 video surveillance cameras for the city of Rosario and the provincial capital with an investment of 40 million pesos (About US $ 8 million).
The event will be held in the multipurpose room (SUM) of the new Data Processing Center of the province, in the capital of Santa Fe and will be chaired by the Ministers of Government and State Reform, Rubén Galassi, and Security, Raúl Lamberto.
The provincial government made the call – through public tender No. 48/2012 – to all those companies interested in the provision, installation and commissioning of a video surveillance system for the detection and prevention of crimes in Santa Fe.
The video surveillance system includes, among other tools, the acquisition of 600 video cameras, 400 for Rosario and 200 for Santa Fe, and their respective metropolitan areas. The work will require an official investment of approximately 40 million pesos (about US$ 8 million) and its execution period was estimated at eight months.
The scope of the tender comprises all six stages: the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, updating and maintenance of the reference system.
Video surveillance cameras will allow the identification of the patent of a vehicle with a capture request and will also enable the recognition of faces.
