Colombia. Between September 12 and 14, the course - NFPA 497 - Classification of Hazardous Areas and Electrical Safety will be held in the city of Bogotá. It will have an intensity of 20 hours.
In the same way you will have exam and diploma of approval or assistance: Granted by NFPA. Also, by working with the standard related to classification of areas from the electrical point, participants will receive the necessary knowledge to obtain a specific description of the locations, processes and materials and will also learn to:
Develop and apply policies and procedures in the electrical aspects of fire and explosion prevention, classify locations as Class I, II, or III and Group A, B, C, D, E, F, or G, classify locations as Division 1 or Division 2, and select electrical equipment and installation techniques for specific classifications.

Agenda day 2:
1. Recommended practice for the classification of areas with flammable liquids, gases or vapors for electrical hazards in chemical process areas.
2. Classification of the areas by the products that are handled.
3. Classification of areas by their operations and their extension.
4. NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces.
5. Classification of enclosures for the different classified areas and their selection according to the NEMA Code (National Electrical Manufacturing Association) and the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.
