Peru. The municipality of La Victoria, in Chiclayo, will acquire 20 new video surveillance cameras to improve citizen security and reduce the crime rate, according to Anselmo Lozano Centurión, municipal mayor.
"The idea is to identify and capture subjects who commit crimes and disturb public order. The surveillance will be 24 hours, so the equipment will be placed in high-risk areas, "said the burgomaster.
As he explains, they are reformulating the technical file to acquire the equipment, which will be installed in strategic points and of greater criminal incidence, such as the city center and human settlements.
They are also evaluating the possibility of acquiring speakers that are activated by remote control to reinforce citizen security.
