International. IOMEGA, an EMC company, announced the addition of Anixter as a new distribution partner to meet security video surveillance needs in areas of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Anixter, following its well-known technical expertise and sophisticated supply chain management as a distributor of complementary services in support of security system integrators, will now join Iomega to bring StorCenter network storage products to the SMB video surveillance markets.
Iomega network storage products that will be offered in video surveillance network storage solutions include the Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 Cloud Edition dual-disk desktop drive, which comes with a network storage capacity of up to 6 TB.
Also the Iomega StorCenter ix4-200d Cloud Edition four-disk desktop drive, with up to 12 TB of storage capacity; and the new Iomega StorCenter px4-300d and px6-300d six- and four-disk desktop models, available in diskless, partially prepared configurations with up to 18 TB of storage. There are also rackmount models that offer a storage capacity of up to 36 TB.
All Iomega StorCenter NAS devices use EMC LifeLine software, a fully developed operating environment on Linux that supports video surveillance management solutions such as the Axis Video Hosting Service (AVHS), developed jointly by Iomega and Axis Communications. In addition, Iomega StorCenter devices come with a three-year warranty, active upon product registration.
