Peru. With the installation of 180 video surveillance cameras, the digital era began in the district of San Juan de Miraflores where security in the city will be strengthened allowing greater coverage by the Citizen Security service announced Adolfo Ocampo Vargas, mayor of the town, after supervising the installation of video surveillance cameras in different arteries of the city.
"With the installation of video surveillance cameras we entered the use of technology to give greater security to the residents of San Juan de MIraflores. This was a long-awaited need for the San Juan community where it will allow us to strengthen surveillance in places considered highly dangerous and reduce the crime rate," said Ocampo.
The investment amount is around one and a half million nuevos soles (US$562,000), and will include the modernization of the central monitoring base that is located in the municipal palace. In three weeks, the installation of the first 30 video surveillance cameras that comprises this first stage will be completed.
