Reinforce security in corporate and business

altMexico. At present, comprehensive security systems that combine various devices such as automatic doors, video cameras, motion sensors, controlled access and alarm systems, among others, of the latest technology, are becoming important in order to reinforce security in businesses and industrial activities.

All this in a context of a certain increase in robbery of businesses with violence that in the period January-March increased 9.5% in Mexico City, compared to the same period of 2011 and 4% compared to 2010.

According to public figures from the Mexico City Crime Index Report (RINDE) during the first quarter of the year there were 1,348 robberies with violence to businesses, against 1,231 occurred in 2011 and 1,297 in 2010.

In this way, businesses, corporations and industries migrate towards integral security systems that include automatic high-tech access, which in the last year have registered a sales growth of around 10%, according to the firm Merik, specialized in this type of equipment.

Gerardo Pérez, marketing director of Merik, a leading Mexican company in automated access, points out that to avoid being victims of this situation, there are security recommendations that contribute to minimizing that vulnerability; since the more a thief has to work, the lower the chance that an illicit act will be committed.

Automatic bollards, also known as pylons, which are installed on the floor from where a metal cylinder arises that prevents motorists from parking or moving to a certain place that was reserved. Equipment designed for diplomatic headquarters, public areas and parking lots.

"Until a couple of years ago, controlled and automated accesses were considered a luxury, today it is a necessity in the face of the situation of insecurity that is lived," said the director of Merik.
