International. More than 20,000 security industry professionals are expected to attend ASIS 2012, in Philadelphia, USA. from 10 to 13 september. This year's seminar will offer attendees more than 200 educational sessions, and more than 700 product and service exhibits.
(ISC) 2, the largest non-profit body focusing on the composition of certified information security professionals worldwide, will have its second annual report (ISC)² of the Security Congress along with ASIS 2012. General education sessions, networking events, and the exhibition space will be jointly open to attendees registered for the two events.
Among this year's guests are the former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mohamed El Baradei (Tuesday, September 11 at 8 a.m.) and the former US Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates (Wednesday, September 12 at 8 a.m.). As well as the presence of the renowned astrophysicist Neil Tyson deGrassse who will be in front of a talk during the closing lunch.
ASIS will offer on September 7 and 8 options and exams to become certified for Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and Physical Security Professional (PSP).
