Latin America. Senstar Corporation announced that it has begun delivering a Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) for two new prisons in Latin America.
The main solution in both prisons is a multi-layered security system built with the following Senstar sensors:
* IntelliFiber - fiber optic sensor mounted on fence.
* Omnitrax - buried cable used as detection between perimeter fences.
* μltraWave - microwave sensor used as a virtual barrier in vehicular accesses.
* Hybrid Microwave/Infrared detectors.
All these sensors are interconnected to a Control and Command system via StarNet, which functions as a Security Management System (SMS).
