International. Genetec, a pioneer in the physical security industry, and a leading provider of unified solutions based on IP technology, announced the integration with all product lines of Bosch devices.Genetec and Bosch have been technology partners in the physical security industry for many years. Over time, both leaders have developed a business relationship that has ensured that all camera integrations are tested and certified, product plans are strategically aligned, and that there is interoperability between firmware and software. This translates into offering customers in common fully supported and compatible solutions for a variety of applications in the security industry.
The important thing is, then, the complete integration of Genetec's unified security platform, the Security Center, including Omnicast, its video surveillance system, with The new line of high definition (HD) cameras from Bosch. This integration includes The AutoDome Pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) family of products, the Dinion and Flexidone series of fixed day/night cameras, and the IP Camera 200 product series for small businesses.
Support for Bosch's Divar 700 hybrid video player (HVR) was also recently announced with the release of Omnicast version 4.8, making Genetec the only video surveillance system provider to support this HVR.
Although both partners are actively involved in ONVIF's efforts for standardization, the depth of firmware and software integrations go beyond support for standard functions. Genetec-certified integrations include support for specific features such as video quality settings, configuration of key box intervals, multiple video streams, the ability to record multiple video streams, direct multicasting from the camera, motion detection, and analytics at the edge.
The Security Center and Omnicast support Bosch PTZ controls, audio input/output, digital I/O, firmware updates, edge recording, and a unique feature that has been enabled by both companies' technology called Video Trickling.
"Not all software vendors take the necessary steps to reach such depths of integration with all Bosch product lines," said Morgan Pasnon, Senior Manager of Technology Alliances at Genetec.
