Latin America. The international companies Amper and Telefónica signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement in order to offer defense, security and communications solutions to large corporations and administrations in the Latin American region, after accumulating a wide background in several European countries.Within the cooperation agreement, Telefónica will provide the infrastructure, especially in terms of coverage, as well as the ability to integrate complex and cutting-edge projects. While Amper will provide the applications, part of the software and the specific experience in each of the products, along with the wide deployment it already has in the region.
"This collaboration is another step by Telefónica towards specialization in the most mature markets from a technological point of view, offering high-value solutions and meeting the expectations of the most demanding customers," said Santiago Fernández Valbuena, president of Telefónica Latin America.
For his part, Jaime Espinosa de los Monteros, president of Amper, explained that "with this agreement, Amper further strengthens its presence in Latin America and will transfer to that market, its state-of-the-art solutions, which are already used by different customers in other regions."
The joint solutions of both companies will be aimed at large corporations in Latin America, as well as the different agencies of the administrations that ensure the security of States and citizens.
Among the different solutions that make up the agreement include Information Systems for Command and Control, Mobile Communications and Connectivity, New Generation Networks, Border Protection Systems, Emergency Control Systems or Protection Systems for Critical Infrastructures, among others.
