Malaysia. Arecont Vision installed 3-degree and 8-megapixel 360-degree panoramic cameras at the corporate headquarters of a pay-TV provider, Astro's All Asia Broadcast Center.
The installation of the megapixel cameras allows Astro security personnel to view the security lobby and corridors, as well as vehicles and people entering and exiting the tunnel and parking areas in live and recorded modes.
The system is centrally monitored from a main control room and can be viewed through sub-control rooms connected by a fiber optic network. The design, devised and installed by Sensorlink Sdn. Bhd., a local solution provider in Kuala Lumpur, leverages the capabilities of megapixel video, such as the ability to zoom in to see important details in a scene, whether in live video or recorded video.
Astro's system includes Arecont Vision AV3105DN day/night IP network cameras with MegaVideo® image processing at 80 million operations per second; and the Arecont Vision SurroundVideo® AV8385 panoramic view IP network camera with four 2-megapixel sensors.
