Colombia. During the second day of the International E&O Security Fair that took place in Medellín between September 6 and 9, one of the highlights of the day was the panel organized by the Latin American Security Association, ALAS, which was based on discussing the current and future of IP technology for CCTV.
The table was attended by the sales managers of renowned manufacturing companies such as Luis Alberto Delgado, from Axis; Pedro Duarte, de Samsung Techwin; Antonio Perez, NVT; Alexander Salinas, of Bolide; Miguel Ángel Baquero, from Bosch, and Héctor Porras, from Sony.
Among the conclusions reached at this meeting was the responsibility of companies to offer solutions according to the needs of the client, as well as the training of professionals to offer this type of solutions. Another issue had to do with the constant but passive growth of ip in Latin America.
Video image alternatives such as HD and megapixel were also mentioned, as well as the open standard called ONVIF, which allows different manufacturers to be integrated into a single IP solution, which guarantees visualization, recording and control.
