Colombia. From September 6 to 9, Medellín will host the XI International Fair of Security E + S (Efficiency and Security) in which important companies of the national and international industry meet to publicize the latest technological developments.
Conferences, new technologies and specialized professionals will be present at the meeting place, the Exhibition Palace – White and Blue Pavilions. To talk about this and other aspects of the event, VENTAS DE SEGURIDAD spoke with Patricia Acosta, director of the fair.
In the first place, Patricia commented on the expectations that the organization has in 2011 with the international event: "The fair has a specific objective that is to serve the entire Andean region. We will have 100 exhibitors and we will have around 8,000 qualified visitors and business managers. In addition, the exhibitors who go to Bogotá participate and there are new ones that increased the registration by 15%".
The executive highlighted how important Medellín has been as the headquarters of the International Security Fair, E + S, especially for the constant growth that the city has shown in aspects such as the installation of security systems promoted by urban development in general.
"We are very happy with the reception of the city by the mayor's office, the metropolitan police, the Andevip Medellín Chapter, the Boreau Convention; which are a very important support. This is a city that has a growing infrastructure and security is within any work that is carried out, which is why the exhibitors achieved very good business."
Other aspects that Patricia mentioned have to do with the activities that will be developed during the event, highlighting the number of technical/academic conferences, as well as the emphasis of the fair on the theme of efficiency: "We have more than 60 conferences and at the same time ALAS will organize the congress called Intelligent Security Management, as well as a seminar on advanced monitoring and the course on CCTV. With regard to the issue of efficiency, this is an initiative that is already immersed in the products of large companies, so we consider it important to highlight it at this event."
