Oman. To accommodate new government legislation and embrace security as a business model, al Falaj Hotel has beefed up its CCTV with Hikvision solutions to minimize potential crime and provide a safer stay for its visitors.
For the internal facilities, the hotel installed DS-2CC591P-A varifocal dome cameras with which it is possible to identify people, regardless of the darkness inside the area. In the same way, to monitor the external areas and the main doors, Analog Speed DS-514-2AF1 360° domes were installed capable of obtaining clear images of customers and the numbers of the license plates of the cars at a distance of up to 35 or 40 meters.
Sachin Srinivasan, senior sales director at OHI Electronics (the company that installed the system), said: "These solutions are easy to handle and withstand extreme weather conditions. International tourists value these systems much more than those who come from regional areas of Oman; for this reason, the hotel adopted this as a business necessity to attract American and European tourists."
In the same way, to ensure the storage of the images, the Al Falaj Hotel installed the DS-8116HDI-S DVR units, in order to have space available for the recording needs of considerable size. Each unit is connected to its own monitor thus allowing security personnel to continuously observe and respond in an independent and efficient way to any anomaly.
