India. IndigoVision installed a comprehensive IP video solution in a surveillance system composed of more than 3,700 cameras, in the new terminal 3 of Delhi International Airport, the second largest in India and which allows the movement of 34 million passengers a year.
The firm installed its software for security management, Control Center, which allowed to group the different cameras for several departments and agencies. They also assigned 120 cameras from the immigration department, which use their own dedicated network video recorders (NVRs), to a separate database.
They also installed a total of 80 Control Center workstations in three different control rooms: the Air Operations Control Center (AOCC), located in the terminal; the airport security building (ASB), about 250 meters outside the premises, and the air traffic control center (ATC), where the movement of aircraft by land is monitored.
The airport uses a total of 57 network video recorders for Windows from the manufacturer with a storage capacity of 10 TB, which allows continuous recording from all cameras, for a period of 30 days. Ten of the NVRs are used as backup systems, which start recording videos automatically if any of the main NVRs go offline.
