It's getting closer to joining security industry colleagues at ASIS 2011, which in this edition will be held in Orlando, Florida, from September 19 to 22. This year's seminar will offer attendees more than 180 educational sessions across 18 themes and unprecedented opportunities through special events such as receptions and lunches.
There will also be general education sessions, networking events, in addition to the exhibition that will be open to all attendees.
Within the program for security professionals, ASIS will introduce a new education track for security system integrators. It includes nine sessions and focuses on specific sectors of the vertical industry and are designed to provide a unique insight into the safety requirements and demands within each sector.
Keynote speakers will be former Florida Governor Jeb Bush (Tuesday, September 20 at 8:00 a.m.) and former Mexican President Vicente Fox (Wednesday, September 21 at 8:00 a.m.). Businessman and visionary Burt Rutan will take care of the attendees at the closing dinner.
Bush's accomplishments as governor include education reform and annual tax cuts, which helped Florida grow jobs.
President Fox is one of the world's most important voices on the contemporary geo-political landscape and the role of business in the developing world today.
Rutan was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Inc. Magazine and described by Newsweek magazine as "the man responsible for more innovations in modern aviation than any other living engineer." Recent projects include the White Knight and SpaceShipOne, the first privately funded manned spacecraft.
