. HID Global recently announced that its sister company, Assa Abloy, has completed the acquisition of LaserCard Corporation, allowing it to expand the portfolio, complement and extend HID Global's positioning in the high-security ID credential market.

LaserCard will extend HID's identification security offering and include all components and capabilities for the production of identity solutions at the national and state levels, within government programs.
