Panama. Telered S.A. and Smart Card Alliance Latin America -SCALA-, held on September 21 the conference "Path to the implementation of Smart Cards and Related Technologies", to publicize the benefits and scope of EMV technology.This technology, named after the three companies that developed the project, Europay, MasterCard, VISA, consists of the use of a chip to authenticate credit and debit card payments.
During this meeting it was announced that the country will seek to start the process of migration to smart cards in banking and government services. Faced with this challenge, SCALA invited Panda ID, an integrator of smart card solutions, to offer the talk "Card and Application Management Systems for an EMV Project", in which the different solutions available for the administration of smart cards and their applications were announced.
