Hikvision's compression cards were selected by Brazil's Furnas power company to complement and improve the surveillance system, in order to adapt it to its expansion and integration needs.Because Furnas supplies electricity to 51% of households in the southeast and midwest regions of Brazil, the company required an easy-to-handle IP surveillance solution that would allow it to transmit high-definition video in real time to monitor energy delivery, in addition to being in control in case of illegal actions or malfunction of the facilities, so that security personnel can take the necessary measures.
Compression cards with H.264 video codec, high-quality video and low bitrate, can adjust high-quality digital video streams in different resolutions and frame rates based on bandwidth for video over IP streaming.
Harlei Almeida, product director of Interimagem, installer of the project, said that these products are easy to operate, which allows the control of the place and makes it possible to corroborate the state of the same and minimize possible damage.
