Wilson, vice president of marketing at Infinova, explains that customers of analog surveillance systems wanted to experience the advantages of IP video, so they asked for a solution that they could buy without going out of budget and without having to discard many of the analog equipment they owned.
The V2216 VMS (Video Management System) provides a solution that allows consumers to extend the useful life of analog systems by having to live with the new IP video equipment, however, control still occurs under the current analog system.
