IT managers are involved in about 60% of decisions to buy IP-based physical security products, according to a new report from consulting firm IMS Research.The report, based on an exhaustive study with installers and integrators of this type of product, also found that more than three-quarters of the companies consulted have to do with IT managers, more now than a year ago.
Another piece of data found in the research says that close to 60% of system installers surveyed think vendors do not offer adequate support for their IP-based security products.
