France. The Albanian Ministry of internal affairs has chosen, through a public tender, Sagem Sécurité to produce and distribute e-passports and identification cards. Sagem Sécurité will supply the production of identity documents based on its latest technology: Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). "This contract is an excellent reference for Sagem Sécurité, and opens up new perspectives in the scope of implementation of the ongoing reforms in Albania," said Jean-Paul Jainsky, President and CEO of Sagem Sécurité. Albania therefore joins the other countries that are pioneers in the use of e-documents for identification purposes. Sagem Sécurité will produce Albanian identity documents
