Latin industry will be linked to the Asian: Avantitek

China/USA The representative of the Taiwanese EverFocus in Latin America said that the electronic security industry will be closely linked to that of Asia in the near future, especially to the economic behavior of China, Taiwan and Korea, according to Javier Lupi, director of Avantitek in the anteroom of AFSE in Miami. The executive sees natural meeting points in the Asian industry and Latin American countries, which seek good prices without compromising on quality. Something the Asian industry can offer, while maintaining the comparative advantage of cheap labor, Lupi says. He also explains that China is expected to grow this year by 9%, which would allow Germany to move from third place among the world's economies, opening the door for China to make massive investments in a territory like Latin America, whose main characteristic is the search for quality even with price sensitivity. Lupi gives as an example the case of the Taiwanese Avantitek, which offers a two- to five-year warranty on its products. Thus, it foresees that traditional European and American suppliers will find it difficult to compete with quality electronic security solutions and at low prices of Asians.
