Germán Pacheco, new Product Manager of Hanwha Techwin for LATAM

Latin America. Hanwha Techwin announced the arrival of Colombian engineer Germán Pacheco as Product Manager for Latin America, this appointment corresponds to the growing interest that the brand has in the region.

Thanks to his experience in product development and his expertise in both the technical and commercial fields, last March the company completed the arrival of this professional, whose main function within Hanwha Techwin will be to identify in detail the Latin American market and detect its needs, in order to strengthen the brand in the region.

"In order to meet the expectations of our customers my interaction with them will be total, it is necessary to listen to them, know their needs and, based on that, deliver the best solution, since, although we offer video surveillance equipment, we would like them to know what we are doing in terms of integration, software and VMS, "says Germán Pacheco.

According to Pacheco, the requirements of each region are unique, for example the needs for Europe or North America are different from those demanded by the Latin market from Hanwha Techwin, "so my job is also to be a kind of communication bridge between the Miami office, the product management team (New Jersey), the main office in Korea and the Latin American region as such."

Career
Germán Pacheco is an electronic engineer from the Colombian School of Engineering (Bogotá) and a specialist in telecommunications, he began his professional life as an integrator of security systems, later he served as director of security projects, not only of video surveillance but of access control systems and alarms, supporting both the technical and commercial part.

The resume of this expert includes companies such as DAGA, Nokia, Siemens Network and Huawei, where he contributed in the areas of security and telecommunications, and carried out tasks of implementation, maintenance and operation of mobile networks in Colombia.

"For about five years I settled in the United States, where I started working as a Product Development and Product Manager in mobile video surveillance systems. Prior to joining Hanwha Techwin , he also served as a pre-sales engineer for complete solutions (video, audio, access control and x-rays, for example) for ISTC Corp."

Undoubtedly, Latin America is a market in which a great variety of equipment of all qualities and brands converges, which makes it very complex. Precisely for this reason, Hanwha Techwin wants to position itself even more in the region, with innovative solutions of the highest quality and for this it sought the support of this engineer who has more than twelve years of experience in the security and telecommunications industries.

"The idea is to bring the message to Hanwha's partners in the region that they have a complete team at their service and willing to support them to achieve the goals set," concludes Germán.
