Latin America. Milestone Systems announces new position structure at the company in Mexico, with the promotion of Edgardo López as the new manager of Engineering Presales for Latin America and the entry of Israel Austria Barrera to the Engineering Solutions team, as well as Óscar Muñoz to the after-sales technical support team.
The appointments took place last June, when the promotion of Edgardo López was announced, who since now has been responsible for attending to the administrative tasks concerning the region. Juan Carlos George, Sales Manager Mexico, Central and South America, said that "Edgardo's leadership qualities, knowledge of local customs and engineering skills are valuable tools that will be of importance to support Milestone's work in the Latin American region."
In turn, Israel Austria joined the company as a Pre-Sales Engineer from Sony Mexico, where he served as a quality assurance and sustaining engineer, and recently as a Pre-Sales Engineer. In his new role at Milestone, Austria is located in Mexico City, reporting directly to Edgardo Lopez and closely supporting the company's partner integrators on their projects. For his part, Óscar Muñoz has experience in IT and customer service, and is part of the support area that Milestone is creating to meet the needs in Latin America.
In this regard, Juan Carlos George recalls that Mexico already had sales staff and after-sales technical support, and adds that the new hires are part of Milestone's growth plans in Latin America, "where we are growing and there are plans to increase the number of engineering and sales personnel in different countries to better support our integrators and distributors", Says.
It should be remembered that Milestone hired Euripedes Magalhaes as Business Channel Manager earlier this year in Brazil, in order to support the growth of the Brazilian market. Euripedes joined from Sony Brazil and has experience in the security and communications sector. He is currently in charge of the northern region of Brazil.
George concludes that among milestone's main objectives in Latin America is "to offer the best services in engineering, sales and case resolution for our partners and end users."
