Tripp Lite Appoints Darwin Haines Senior Vice President of International Business

International. Tripp Lite has appointed Darwin Haines as the new Senior Vice President of International Business, which will drive new global business strategies.

Darwin Haines joined Tripp Lite in 2008 as Vice President of International Business Development. After successfully positioning the brand in the Russian and CIS market, he was promoted to Vice President of Sales for EMEA and Asia. Thanks to his success in these regions, he will now take responsibility for Tripp Lite International Sales which will also include Mexico, Latin America and Canada.

Haines' new role began after Bill DeCicco, who served as Executive Vice President of International Business, announced his retirement plans for the end of 2015; In addition, DeCicco will continue to work during the transition period until the last day of this year. Tripp Lite President Glen Haeflinger thanked Bill DeCicco "for his dedication shown over 19 years of service, as he was of great value and contribution to the company, so we will miss him." 

Haeflinger pointed out that "Darwin's deep business knowledge and effectiveness as a leader and manager are very evident; I have full confidence that he will continue to stimulate the development of our global business.  The task of growing businesses in new markets, each with its own challenges and dispersed geography, requires persistence and creativity, and Darwin has always delivered successful results."

Darwin Haines noted that "our strategic goal for Tripp Lite's international business is to grow them steadily over time, maintaining a strong focus on key markets and business development priorities, supported by a high level of support from our partners." "In leading the broader global effort, I will leverage Tripp Lite's existing international resources, including strong regional leadership, local offices and training centers, highly experienced sales and technical teams, and a strong network of loyal partners." 

Haines said, "I am honored by the new appointment and look forward to working with our global partners to expand Tripp Lite's international presence."

Darwin Haines has 20 years of experience in international business and more than 10 in the IT industry; he has collaborated with large companies such as Motorola, Actuant and IDEX Corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering and Economics from the United States Military Academy and an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
