Andean Region. Axis Communications, a world leader in network video and creator of the IP camera, decided to dedicate a sales manager exclusively for Venezuela and part of Colombia. Diana Ardila, who has just joined the team, will be responsible for taking care of strategic customers in those countries. The other part of Colombia will continue under the responsibility of Karen García, sales manager who now incorporates Ecuador into its area of action.
The expansion is part of a plan to facilitate the opening of new markets in the Northern Cone and drive the migration of monitoring systems to digital technology. The objective is to improve support for new negotiations with Ecuador and Venezuela, expanding the number of integrators that make up the network of more than 3,000 Axis partners in South America.
This year, Axis was structured to add 300 partner companies to its channel program in Brazil alone and more than 200 adding Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. In addition, the company developed a training agenda to train more than 560 professionals from the electronic security and network sectors in the region, as well as a marketing plan focused on channel recruitment.
Diana Ardila, the new member of the team, is an Electronic Engineer from the Julio Garavito Colombian School of Engineering and has a specialization in evaluation and project development from the Universidad del Rosario. He has 6 years of experience in electronic security of which two and a half years he worked with an integrator of the sector. In addition to this, he spent three and a half years at Senstar as account manager for the Andean region; Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama and Peru.
"With this incorporation the team is reinforced and will allow a better support to the businesses in Ecuador and Venezuela since they are countries with a great growth in the field of security. Colombia will now have two people who will support the metropolitan region and in this way the cities of the interior will receive equivalent attention," said Luis Alberto Delgado, sales manager for the Northern Cone.
