Mexico. The State Public Security Secretariat installed 128 cameras in Merida, Yucatan, in order to prevent crime and combat crime.Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, secretary of the entity, commented that they expect to have 140 teams, which will be monitored in real time.
Likewise, the city has video surveillance systems, which are not in real time, in the collection booths on the road to Cancun and the existing checkpoints between the states of Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
The implementation of these security solutions aims to provide greater protection to the city and as such to its inhabitants.
Additionally, the public force will also be monitored, since the patrols have an audio and video system that records what happens inside and outside them.
