Mexico. The Ministry of Finance of Jalisco, Guadalajara, adopted the radio frequency identification system to improve the control of the institution's assets. This system will not only provide greater security to heritage assets but will save time for personnel engaged in internal security.
The security software will also comply with the requirements made by the Secretariat according to its needs, as explained by Intermec, the provider of the RFID solution.
The adoption of RFID will replace the use of barcode labels that have presented disadvantages in terms of their use, since these are detached making it more difficult to read.
The radio frequency identification solution uses readers on the access doors to the building and specific formats for the labelling of goods. It also provides mobile reader equipment for inventory and search tasks with greater reliability and speed.
