Latin America. The Spanish company Telefónica began to enter the security industry through its subsidiary Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad (TIS), with which it has already carried out some projects in Latin America and has others to install fixed and mobile cameras, as well as sensors, monitors and alarms for fires.The firm worked doing this work within the same headquarters of the group, but now began to work offering its services to private clients, companies and government sectors.
TIS will install in the town of Berazategui, Buenos Aires (Argentina) 135 security cameras that include a control center. It also seeks to obtain other tenders in other municipalities of that province that are part of the so-called Citizen Security Plan.
In addition to Spain, the company is also present in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, where it has already begun to install security projects.
